STEPHANE BRETON has been the owner of AXEL'AIR since February 24th 2004. He now manages the company founded in 1994 by Laurent Ness, one of the worlds most prolific and enthusiastic pioneering kiteboarders. Historically, we are the first kitesurf shop and school created in Europe if not worlwide.

AXEL'AIR quickly turned from a local to a strong worldwide reputation during the mid 90's thanks to the seriousness of the school, the in depth nature of the tests and quality of the shop merchqandise. These attitudes define very well the AXEL'AIR philosophy. We only sell products we have tested ourselves and that we can precisely talk about.

The AXEL'AIR shop proposes a wide selection of Kitesurfing items and also a lot more stuff related to kite powered activities like snow kiting, mountain-boarding & buggying. Every product has been tested by our team. You sometimes loose your head when you face the actual huge and varied offers on the market. A wide and open approach
Axel’Air doesn’t only teach and sell kitesurfing equipment. The owner, Stephane Breton, still collaborates on a very close basis with Laurent Ness, who himself writes technical articles for specialised kitesurf magazines and develops new specific kitesurfing gear.

One of our former employees (Hugo) is now head publisher of the first established French kitesurfing magazine. There is a strong synergy between our team members, the shop and the school, with such results as 2000 World Champ' Anne-Laure Pégon (our ex-rider) on the international scene, French champ' Christophe Roussin, Damien Pattou (2004 snowkiting world champion), specialist in a cross-over approach that succeeds on water, snow or sand, and Thomas Cocquelet (2005 KPWT world champion). We don't forget the 2004 KPWT world champion Michaël Fernandez and Sébastien Garat !!

We were present when nobody believed in kitesurfing and now we are even closer to you with this new edition of our www.axelair.com website.

Recognized for our visionnary approach by the specialised and economic press, we are now even more dedicatated to sharing our passion with everyone.
You can find a kitesurfing beach less than 500 metres from AXEL AIR and a buggy / mountain-board hard sand soil just in front of the shop.
